Fundraising film night: “Freeheld”

In Australia and around the world LGBTQIA people continue to face discrimination for being themselves. Freeheld’ tells the emotional true story of one woman unapologetically taking on the system to demand equal treatment.

We were very fortunate to have Victoria’s first Gender and Sexuality Commissioner, Rowena Allen, join us for this special screening. Rowena reflected on her own experiences in LGBTQIA activism and gave us an insight into her strategic priorities for the year ahead.
