Rights Advocacy Project
Rights Advocacy Project is a community of lawyers and activists working for fairer laws for all Australians. We’re part of Liberty Victoria, one of Australia’s leading human rights organisations.
We aim to influence positive law reform and to develop the next generation of human rights activists and lawyers. In the past year alone, we have played a significant role in two legislative changes — the abolition of on-the-spot public transport fines and the repeal of anti-whistleblowing laws in offshore detention centres. We’ve also trained over 30 emerging human rights advocates.
Our work is bold, creative and strategic. We find new ways to tackle big problems and take our impact seriously.
